The Girl in the Road by Monica Byrne

Received for an honest review from Blogging From Books.
Five stars
This book was an amazing surprise! I kept running by it but I kept passing up it. I was worried that the plot of a surreal world would not interest me. I was so happy to discover that I am wrong. Page one is interesting and the author makes sure to keep the reader guessing. I loved it! I usually don’t read books that have futuristic or unrealistic elements but this book was a big exception. The writing is fantastic: interesting and easy to follow. There were elements that reminded me of “The Road” only because of the unease that flows through the story. Meena and Mariama were great characters. Their different places in time collide and an interesting adventure ensues. I read this book in two sittings, I highly recommend it and enjoyed it very much! Great writing Ms. Byrne
